基于铌酸锂光波导级联的和频与差频效应的灵活全光波长转换
Flexible wavelength conversion exploiting cascaded sum- and difference-frequency generation in LiNbO3 waveguides
本文提出和论证了在准相位匹配铌酸锂(LiNbO3)波导中,利用级联的和频与差频效应实现灵活的可调谐波长转换。输入信号光采用重复频率为40GHz,脉宽为1.57ps的皮秒脉冲,适当地改变泵浦光和控制光的波长,可以实现25nm宽的输入信号光转换到任意波长输出。在信号光功率较低的情况下,转换效率达到了-18.9dB,输入信号光可变波长范围达到25nm。实验结果极大的增强了实际应用的可能性。
Flexible tunable wavelength conversion based on cascaded sum-frequency generation(SFG) and difference-frequency generation(DFG) is proposed and demonstrated in a quasi-phase matched LiNbO3 waveguide. For a launched optical signal with 40-GHz repetition rate and 1.57-ps pulse width, it is shown that the input signal in a wavelength range of 25nm can be converted to any output signal by changing the pump and control wavelengths appropriately. Approximate -18.9dB conversion efficiency and 25nm variable region of the input signal is achieved under the lower launched signal power. The experimental results imply that the proposed scheme can significantly enhance the possibility for practical applications.
