Switching characteristics of Gauss-apodized fiber Bragg gratings with the point defects

本文数值研究了布拉格光纤光栅的非线性传输特性。利用龙格-库塔方法数值分析解非线性耦合模方程,讨论高斯切趾对频谱形状的影响,以及对降低泵浦功率阈值的作用。引入点缺陷并讨论缺陷个数和宽度对降低功率的影响并找到合适的参数取值。在全光开关方向具有较大应用潜力。

We discussed numerical studies of nonlinear transmission characteristic of Bragg fiber gratings(FBG). Nonlinear coupled-mode equations are numerically solved through Runge-Kutta method. The choice of parameters with Gauss-apodized was analyzed in the spectrum shape. It also contributes to obtain a switching of low power consumption. We discussed the number of point defect and width of it to find a most suitable situation to meet the demands. This approach lowers the pump threshold power. It shows potential applications among all-optical switching.
